I'm not sure what the original sticker would have been. It came to me with a Deluxe Marti report but that doesn't seem to mention the original list price. Internet sources say that a base convertible started at around $3000 in the U.S. That's about the same as a Mach1 which probably came with much better trim and a bigger engine.
Nowadays, the 71-73 cars don't seem to get the prices that the earlier cars command but I've always liked them.

WTG....you will see a 1970 original owner Grande in a future neat cars post.

The Grande is an easily forgotten Mustang. It was simply overshadowed by the Mach I was was a really coo car in its own right.

That is really cool.

I am not sure what you mean by "some parts are 64 1/2 thought, i guess what was left over the previous day"

They would all be 64 1/2 parts.

One thing, my carpet covers the floor only, and have vinal from the floor up to the door sills, and my valve covers and air cleaner are robin egg blue, not gold like the later ones...

You carpet should only cover the floor with vinyl up the sill .

Do you have a 260V8? Those would be blue from the factory.

The 289 was black block and gold air cleaner and valve covers.
