:banghead:Hey guys, need help here,, our 67 convertible , that I just almost finished is driving me nuts,, has new alt, I have checked the diagrams , I have looked at a lot of paper work , its a 67 with a 351 stock Windsor, it was originaly a 289 with points, it now has duraspark 2 electronic ignition ,does anyone have a proper scematic of the charging system, im using the 67 diag,, only has 12.32 volts when running and 12.55 when its not,has a new battery, new alternator and a fairly new regulator, any help would be appreciated, its the last thing on the car before I can drive it,, thanks. I suspect it has something to do with the guage,,

charging systems are pretty basic , i would check the ground first then go to the next item. Voltage should be at 14 volts but a poor ground can make life bad, bad brushes in gen/alternator can cause this too. these are cheap fixes .

The most common issue with these old cars is bad grounds, look there first.
