Power brake swap

I have a 67 fastback and I'm thinking about putting on power brakes. I would like power disks on the front only. Anyone done this, without spending a thousand on new parts?

You buy brake booster for your year of car, I don't believe there too pricey.
Do you have disc brakes on the car or Drum???

It's stock 4wheel drum. Any other vehicles with same profile,Maverick, comet, fairlane, with the same parts? I know I could buy a kit with all the stuff I need SSBC has one for 7-9 hundred.

Ford Granada or Linclon Versile. Its a simple spindle swap. Using the outtie rods of the swap car connected to the inner mustang. Then you need a dual master cylinder from a another ford. I used a Bronco.

If you put a booster in you will need a different brake pedal as well. The geometry is not the same as manual brakes.
Check out Mustang Steves web site, he can get you on your way to safer stops.

You may need a vacuum pump as well, but I don't remember all of the intricacies so I may be mistaken. SSBC makes a good product but they tend to be expensive (from my experience). Try Master Power Brakes...I seem to remember them being a little more reasonable in price...

does em all the time

contact Bill Pinto with the Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association out of Oakville.
He has done this conversion for probably 15 members of our club, and it turns out perfect.
He has all the parts needed.
