Valve Adjustment

Anybody know how to adjust the valves on a 1970 stock 302? I've been trying to find some info and from what I've found...the bolts just get tightened down and that's it..no adjustment really. Anybody have any ideas?

The only way you can adjust valves is if you have adjustable rockers. Adjustable rockers are needed for solid lifters only. Hydraulic lifters have no adjustment. Are you trying to fix a noisy lifter? You need to replace them or add Lucas oil additive that seems to help.

if you have any noise or smoke problem, replace the rockers.
