Valve Covers

I'm replacing my valve covers and need to know where and how much sealant to apply?

There are a few trains of thought on this topic. My suggestion would be to use just enough RTV to hold the gaskets to the valve covers, so that they don't move around when they get tightened down. Make sure that you use good quality gaskets, and that the mounting flanges of the covers are flat, not warped or damaged at all.

cheers
