Just curious, but why Halo's and not HID? I was thinking of switching my 2012 to HID, is that maybe a bad idea?

All I know is with an 05-09 you have to remove the front valance to get the headlights out.

There is nothing wrong going with HID's, the only down fall is you mighty get flashed, or not notice a big improvement unless you get projector's put in....wether you get the headlights retro fitted or buy aftermarket headlights.

Didn't take the headlights out, but my guess is once you get this far, it's pretty simple.

Lights

That's perfect 1LOW...thanks...while you are there are the fog laps attached to the front bumper or do you remove the housong once you have the belly pan off and before you take the bumper off??
Thanks
Dave:tup

Red Pony 12-08-2011 08:47 PM

Just unplug the fog lights, the housing will stay attached to the bumper.

Thanks...then if I wanted to remove the Fog lamp assembly it is probably just a few screws..would that be correct..?

Just looked at some pics of your front bumper and it's once piece versus my standard GT. We replaced the standard lower facia (the black section) with the CS style, which is why we took it apart. It was all intact and I don't recall how the housing was attached to the bumper.

BBYE 12-08-2011 09:51 PM

Well you have given me a good start with thebumper, i amsure it is not rocket science so i should be able to figure it out.
Thanks again
Dave

Fog Lamps

I opted out for now to just remove the Fog Lamp housing. Fun but doable. The easy part is you jack up the front end remove the 6 7mm screw bolts that hold the belly pan to the front splitter. There are 2 additional deeper set 7mm inthe middle of thepan don't forget those.
In addition there are 3 philips screws at the front where you took out the 7mm screw nuts..they are very tight be careful not to strip them.
OK pan slides out..now the fun..
In a very close are the Fog lamp housing is held in place by 4 7mm screw nuts again. 3 are relatively easy on each side. the 4th which is the top right is an arm killer..you can't see it it black ..fun..
Anyway you get it out press the fog lamp in towards the engine bay from the esterior of the front bumper and out it pops..tada
The real fun will be putting that 4th screw nut in when I install the Halos..
