Loose Door Handle

One of my exterior door handles...92 GT...has a couple of loose rivets.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether the rivets can be replced without taking the interior door panel off.
If the rivets were drilled out and replaced one at a time, would I lose anything inside the door?

Loose door handle resolved.......

Mystery solved. You can replace the rivets without removing the door panel.
Its done, didn`t lose anything. Works good now.
