Ohtobbad made me do it!

OK, I know I had said earlier that I done as much as I wanted to do the Mustang. But Ohtobbad made me an offer I could not refuse. I had been in the past looking to buy the battery and brake booster covers. The cost from the US was just too much. I had happened to ask Ohtobbad if he had any parts left over from his 08. He replied that he had some carbon fibre battery and brake booster covers. Well now I'm interested. He shot me a very fair price plus shipping. I jumped on it. I received them this morning. They are now installed.

A very big thank you goes out to Ohtobbad. :yourock:

Looks good. I quite enjoy mine as well, except mine are the plastic ones. Definately cleans up the look!

I have the factory looking plastic ones as well. I think it really completes the look under the hood. Even had several other owners comment and buy some.

Where you get yours? I got mine from LMR, I think like $80usd which I thought was a little pricey but worth the look. What was harder was the Boss manifold engine cover kit, that was a hard purchase but i think somewhat worth the $$$.

Got mine from CJ Pony last summer. Same price, but I shipped it to a friend in Michigan to save all the extra charges.

Is your car a Black GT with the Boss intake. I noticed the grey coil covers. I have the same 85mm BBK TB. What is your power improvement with the throtle body, the JLT cold air and Bama tune, just wondering. A buddy of mine has the same set up on his Yellow Blaze 2012 GT, except with a Steeda cold air and a Seeda tune (I think?) and his Dyno 430ish to the rear wheels. Cost him about $2,400 for that work. Here is a picture of his car.

Awesome, bet it helps having a connection near the boarder. I bought a lot of parts from USA and exchange sucked. But it be even worse now, so glad i did it when i did.

You bet, i have a black gt. I bought it with the plan to mod right away, before even really driving it. Put the boss manifold, throttle body, intake on within a month of owning it. Then roush axle back, lowering springs, panhard bar, rims/tire, etc. I haven't dyno'd yet, but typical to get around 420hp to the wheels with the setup. I did a tone of research before i bought the car on what i wanted to do. Then started buying parts doing all the work myself in the garage over the spring. Plan to do a few more things, but no longer in a rush as I was before. Definately want to do more suspension work maybe this year.

I have pics of the build from last year here... http://imgur.com/a/G7BcG

Car looks fantastic. I really like black cars, but could not get the 2013 Boss Laguna Seca in Canada, something about LED lights were not adequate for Day Time Runnings lights. Thought about getting a Black GT with Recaros and turning it into to a LS Boss, but went with the standard Boss. Your probably making more power than a Boss. You should look into the Track Key option from Ford Racing, which is available for 2014 GT manaul cars. You'll love the Lopey idle and engine braking.

Thanks man! Thats crazy, I never even heard of the track key. Something I may have to consider in the future!

Part of me wanted to get a boss or gt500. I mean with the purchase price of my used gt, and parts I put into the car I could have probably had a used boss or maybe gt500. But I really wanted to make changes from a stock form. And didnt really want to mess around too much with an actual boss or gt500. The purests would probably give me sh*t .

You have done a great job with your car from what I can see. Do you have anymore pics?
