Zaino, Zaino and Zaino. Best stuff I've ever used. An excellent protectant and (IMO) the best shine bar none. Have a look at my pic thread and you'll see why. You can order it on-line from Tom Anthony at Zaino Show Car Polish Products He was an amazing help getting me the products I need and taught me a lot obout detailing. Even if you don't order anything the site is an excellent read. I placed on order on Sunday night and had the products by the next Wednesday. |
I myself am a Mothers product guy.
Most wax brands are good,it really boils down to what one would prefer. |
Meguires here and agree^^^

Mother's is the bee's knees, lol.
Spring has arrived here so I cleaned up my Lime Baby, gave her the Mother's clay bar and polish treatment, changed oil and took her out for a long drive today. We made a little noise, burned a little rubber and had a good time. |
for shine and protection, best results I found were from Zaino!
|
^^^^whats Zaino cost???
|
It wasn't expensive last year I think I paid around $35 for the Z-PC (Paint prep)and Z-2 PRO (polish)
That's all I use and need, you can go with even more stuff for a better shine. I'm quite happy with the results I get and you seen the pics of my Bullitt. I've done the 1-2-3 step from Meguiar's and Mothers for the work and time involved they can't touch Zaino. What ever you do make sure you clay bar your car before prepping and waxing!! |
I like autoglym paste wax. It lasts a long time.
|
Any Carnauba wax will do. As some of the other guys mentioned I always had my best reuslts with Mothers and Meguiars. It always depended on which one was cheaper at Canadian Tire. If you're using wax with some other sort of chemical polish you have to be really careful if you have decals because some of those chemicals will destroy them over a short period of time. I used to own an '81 Honda CBX and all I used to wax it was furniture polish. Yes that's right, furniture polish goes on easy, dries clear so you don't get white residue in cracks, and it doesn't harm decals. Pledge is only made from carnauba wax and is non-toxic. The only reason I don't use it now is that on the bike it didn't take long to wax it every time I washed it and I was never sure how long it lasted. At least with car wax I know it lasts at least a couple of months. Anyway Mothers, Meguiars and Turtlewax are great and relatively easy on the wallet.

Meguiar's Ultimate.
|
I'd have to agree with any Meguiar's Product or the Autoglym both are fantastic!
|
Meguires for sure. No, maybe Autoglym. I've heard Zaino is great. Turtle Wax Ice, that's the ticket. No way, go Armour All wax. Hey what about Mother's ? Autofinesse is the way to go. Simonize rules the street. Liquid wax rules, but spray wax is so easy. Paste wax is the only old school way to go. There you go, there's the best wax right there.

When Fred detailed my GT last spring he use Meguires! Still looks good today>

I have had best success with Croftgate products for ease of use, long lasting, simple.

You need to try Adams. I just tried some on my Ram, and the wifes car (BMW 335), and that stuff is amazing.,

I've tried the Adam's, I've tried the Meguiar's, I've tried Mothers.
Still enjoy Zaino and Duragloss. Results my 2014GT and my 2010V6 https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1392960149 https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1392960149 https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1392960149 https://www.cmoc.ca/attachment.php?a...ine=1392960149 |
That looks really good! I might have to try it myself.
|
To add, there is really no "The Best"
Try what you want based on people's opinions and enjoy it. For me, depth of gloss, reflective shine and durability is where it's at. I need my product to last through months and months. It also needs to be extremely cost effective. People complain that Zaino is expensive, but I have successfully managed to get 30+ coats out of sealant out of one $30 bottle. I think this is acceptable. |
Also something to keep in mind, is that all brands of vehicles have very different paint/clearcoat products, and as a result a polish or wax that works really good on one type of paint job, may not have the same results on another vehicles paint. One example is the Autoglym worked amazing on my Mustang, and not so well on the Ram, but the Adams work awesome on the Ram, and not so much on the Stang.
