Nova Scotia Meet

I was wondering if anyone wants to meet up in Nova Scotia this summer for a cruise? I see a ton of mustangs where I live so let's get something going. I had a 77 mustang and sold it and now I have a 94 mustang.

NOVI VERT 07-09-2007 02:19 PM

Dude i live in Halifax and i rarely see a mustang. Where do they all go?????

1tallmf 07-11-2007 08:53 AM

I'm moving back to Halifax at the start of September, I'd deffinetly be up for a meet/cruise then. There certainly aren't as many 'stangs over there as there are in southern Ontario though, I didn't meet any fellow stangers last year when I was in Halifax.

Moparman87 07-12-2007 05:27 PM

On my way to Valley Ford for a new flasher relay I counted 9 mustangs there and back. You guys know there is a Nova Scotia Mustang Club right?

1tallmf 07-13-2007 10:34 AM

I think I've heard about it....
Got a link?

Just curious if there is any meet and greets coming up soon in Nova Scotia?

1tallmf 09-08-2007 07:08 PM

I haven't checked this site out for a while now, but I just got back from Ontario, so I'm up for a meet and/or cruise if any one else is??? I haven't met any other stangers in the HRM yet.

Cindy Lou Who 32 05-16-2008 07:18 PM

Hi All,

I'd love to do a meet & greet or a meet and cruise... there's lots of Stangs here in Eastern Passage... I think I can count about 7 or 8 with out even trying too hard.

The NSMC meets on Wednesday nights down at the Woodside A&W in Dartmouth from about 6:30 until dusk. They also do Sunday morning breakfasts at the Rodeo Lounge in Burnside at 10am.

I met up with them last night for the first time. Really friendly group of people and really nice cars!

Cindy Lou Who 32 05-29-2008 07:51 AM

Ikandi,

I was at Pilot's Pub last night for a Girl Guide Dinner, and I seen all the Mustangs there... I'll have to stop by next week.

Also, how do I become a member of the NSMC?

ikandi 05-29-2008 11:07 AM

They gave me a paper application while I was there. There is a $25 membership fee, and they will be there next week with newsletters and decals for any new members that show up.

Cindy Lou Who 32 05-29-2008 03:31 PM

Sweet... I have a meeting at 7 on Wednesday, so hopefully it will be a short meeting... I'd love to join the club!

NSStangGal 08-04-2008 06:32 PM

Hi all

I am a member of the Nova Scotia Mustang Club and also on the entertainment committee. If you want to join, I have an electronic application form you can fill out and mail to the the individual responsible for memberships. Our website is down but we do have two groups on facebook...one the administrator is Steve Jennex and the other Carl McVicor...any other groups are not official members so I recommend if you wish, you can inquire under these two administrators only as I know there is a third using our club name but they are not a club member.

You can call Budget to see if they have any available. The Club meets Wednesday nights in Woodside Dartmouth by the A & W Restaurant where the Woodside Ferry Terminal parking lot is. We usually arrive there around 6:30 pm weather permitting but many leave by 8pm to go on a run. We also meet at the Rodeo Lounge on Ilsley Ave in the Burnside Industrial Park in Dartmouth at 10 am on Sundays for breakfast if an event isn't prescheduled for that day. Whether or not you obtain a mustang for your visit, drop over either wed or sun or both .. to meet us !!

I'll try and make it, I will have to ask my brother for directions. Thanks for the invite.

does anybody ever meet up in the valley with there stangs

Ray Spencer 08-23-2008 03:04 PM

I got to the meet on the 13th at around 7.30 pm, most of the group had left for a run but it was good to meet a few of the club members that did not go. There were some pretty sharp rides to look at.

Roadkiller 08-25-2008 06:22 PM

I think every Mustang in HRM was on the road last Thursday morning (Aug 21). I was driving to work from Eastern Passage to downtown Halifax and they were everywhere. I even got passed by a late model (i.e. 2005 +) Rousch!

NSStangGal 08-27-2008 12:44 PM

Hi Ray, sorry we missed you on the 13th. Didn't think you were going to make it for a visit. Let me know when you are going to be down this way again. We'd love to meet you for sure.

Not to worry, managed to see a few of the mustangs from your club and meet a few members. Gave me a chance to let my brother see where all my time and money goes. If any of you are coming out to Edmonton in the future let me know. Not much water here but lots of flat prairie.

Hi Chris, we might be able to arrange something. We actually have a cruise scheduled on September 7 when we will be in Windsor at Tim Hortons for a short pit stop and coffee sometime in the early afternoon. We are starting out at 10 am and heading to Shubenacadie, then heading to the Noel Shore .. thru to Brooklyn and over to windsor tim's then back to Dartmouth/Halifax.

whitev6 08-30-2008 09:02 AM

Where are you starting out from ? And at what time ? Thanks

We are meeting at 10 am at Elmsdale Sobeys Mall next to the Tim Hortons and will depart from there at 10:30 travelling north hwy 102 to exit 10 at Shubie. Then we are taking the Route 215 north to Maitland thru Noel Shore where we exit Noel to Burncoat where we might take in the Museum there then we are continuing west back to rt 215 thru Tennycape, Walton and Kempt Shore to Brooklyn. Then we take Junction 14 south to Windsor where we will have a tim's break then at junction 5 windsor we take the hwy 101 back to Halifax. Not sure what the time frame will be.

Love to get to Edmonton, two of my best friends live there and have invited me to come visit whenever I'd like. I might take that trip next year as a matter of fact.

If your coming next year let me know. There are a few things to see in Edmonton. Not as many sites as Halifax but enough to keep you amused.

Just wanted to revive this thread, and try and get some information on what the scene is going to be like in Nova Scotia for this year.

Does anyone know if Valley Ford is going to be doing their Mustang Mania again this year? I haven't heard much on it?

whitev6 04-02-2009 07:52 AM

rishi65 04-02-2009 08:31 AM

It's certainly exciting to know that my favorite local venue (Valley Ford's Mustang Mania) is happening again this year. Do you know if the Dyno will be back again this year?

Anyway, how do I go about joining the NSMC, I'd like to be on the mailing list for events at the very least.
Please let me know,
Thanks, Ben-

From where to Boston Pizza? Halifax?

Grassy 04-20-2009 10:06 AM

No. We have a police escort from valley Ford in kentville to Boston Pizza in New Minas. BP then puts on a spead of munchies for us. Last year was our first year and I thought, with the police escort, things would be quiet..No so !..we could not keep the tears from our eyes we were laughing so hard..there were cars lighting up the pavement the whole way...we couldn't believe it..what a noise of tires being burnt and the wail of the
V8s..wow.. some of these cars have so much power and there is a '69 fastback that has nitrious..and with the excort, we get to run lights..fun, fun, fun..

lowlife 04-20-2009 10:56 AM

Grassy 04-20-2009 11:04 AM

rishi65 04-20-2009 11:32 AM

Haha, I remember. Not only is the the Mustangs you heard lighting up, but also every other Chev and Mopar V8 within sight!

As for the run to Boston Pizza, I'll be attending, that's actually my Birthday! Haha, I'm certainly looking forward to getting back up on the Dyno, and embarrassing some GT500's
