I have a 2010 mustang gt coupe with fr500 axel back mufflers and a airaid cai. I was thinking about installing bbk ceramic longtube headers, ford hot rod cams, ford racing tb,ford racing high performance intake.Does anyone have a opinion about this set up or is there a another way to go?

Sounds like a good combo, if you add nitrous in there you will have a pretty fun car. You should get a custom tune at the same time if you are putting that stuff on.

X2 but I would skip the NO2 myself

I have similar plans with my '10. I am going with the hot rod cams, Ford Racing intake, and BBK throttle body, Bassani X pipe exhaust system, and CNC ported heads. For the tuner, I'm going with Diablosport Trinity T-1000 with Bama custom tune. In my opinion, this is the best combo, and if you want to see serious power gains, you need to do the entire setup. Doing just an intake and T/B, or just the cams, really isn't going to be very noticeable from behind the steering wheel.

Im new to the game, thats why i wasnt sure what mods to do. I was thinking long tubes and cams for now, maybe the rest later

I would try and find someone in Ottawa that has lots experience and they could steer you in the right direction. Lots of good ideas here as well

VAEM 10-24-2011 06:03 PM

Long tubes are an excellent idea -BUT before you buy - check out install prices on long tube headers ... LOTS of guys are surprised at the cose of install. Headers and k-member swaps can be pricey.

SNAKEBITE 10-25-2011 04:21 PM

I guess part of the problem so I here is they are a pain in the rear to install kind of like the 99-04's. Now mind you maybe this is just the mechanics telling me this so as to soak me lol

Thanks for the info,im going to check out a few places this week

SNAKEBITE 10-25-2011 06:38 PM

Don't forget any updates, you're probably not the first guy thinking of doing this, so any info you could share would be good.
