Only 4-5 psi for about 100hp? Not bad. Normally takes 8 to get those gains from what I've seen.

looks good, sounds like it should work even better

Yeah there's endless talk about the threshold of non-forged internals...my guess is that most '05 blowers won't be pushing alot of psi.

The 3V seems to react quite well to fairly minor mods (CAI and tune = 40 ish HP)...so bolting up an 8psi lung that would bring a 2V 140+ rwhp would likely bring the 3V considerably more and push that threshold to a dangerous and probably short-lived level.

Kind of unfortunate really. The stock motor pushes 40ishrwhp more than it's predecessor...reacts real well to minor mods...but can't take comparable boost. So at the end of the day...a supercharged 3V vs a supercharged 2V seem to make similar peak power with the optimum set up....for now anyway.

There's bound to be a few that will roll the dice...swap a pulley...see how long she lasts. Seeing how a pulley swap on a 4V makes 50 quick rwhp...probably get a 3V into the 475rwhp neighbourhood. :tup
