The boss's 87 LX 5.0... and my not so Mustang-like car
Here's a pic of the 87 LX 5.0 that I've been helping my boss build for AutoX.
Power is stock, except for a BBK intake and cat-back exhaust... Interior has been stripped of all extra weight but still appears almost stock ('cept the race seats and harnesses)... King Cobra clutch and B&M shifter help get power to the wheels, along with a different rear end ratio (don't remember the number)... Riding on Ford Racing lowering springs and Koni shocks... 5-bolt conversion and Hawk HPS pads slow it down, with Toyo RA1's keeping grip through the corners... The "body kit" is a custom job, but I don't know anything else about it.
My car is an 89 BMW 325is that's also built for AutoX, but I won't get into the details unless anyone wants to know about it.
As for performance, we run in the same class under Motorsport Club of Ottawa rules, he is 3rd in class and 12th overall, I'm 5th in class and 17th overall, though both of us have missed an event or 2.
Geoff.

so your tellin me that a stang "Riding on Ford Racing lowering springs and Koni shocks... 5-bolt conversion and Hawk HPS pads slow it down, with Toyo RA1's keeping grip through the corners" is better in the twisties then an oldschool bimmer built for autocross? i though it was u guys that should be able to handle and we go fast strait. nice cars either way...just the sideskirts dont do it for me...looks like running boards of a truck missing the middle.
