Pretty excited about this one :chacha: Here are a few pics.. More to come after a proper Detail!!
Cheers Guys!

Here is my dream car finally mine... The Shelby (gotta get a Name on her)

ChadStang 07-09-2011 10:59 PM

Looks great. I can see the pics now. It's time to pull the GT out of the garage now, that's where the Shelby belongs

VAEM 07-10-2011 05:42 AM

Awesome ride! Congrats.

Apocalypse Pony 07-10-2011 07:50 AM

'Grats on the new Shelby dude, love the color and the no stripe thing. Right on.

2tone 07-10-2011 09:02 AM

Very nice machine!

I am guessing it was priced in the mid to low 30's which would IMO make it a steal.

Now to lower it and tint it. :)

carspark 07-10-2011 09:28 AM

congrats you'll have fun with that

SNAKEBITE 07-10-2011 11:30 AM

Got it for a little less than posted in this ad.. I noticed the add early that morning and was the first tire kicker to show up.. It was really a good deal in my area I have the invoice it sold for 72k in 08 :wiggle:. There are 2 shelby coupes at local dealers going for 45k... Convertibles are rare, and go for much higher prices around here!

Wash with Dawn dish soap, Clay Bar,Buff with AutoGlym Polish, 1 coat of Chemical Guys XXX, Rims sealed with Collinet, Tires and engine bay detailed with AutoGlym tyre dressing.. Yup good for under the Bonnet! Black trim touched up with PoorBoys trim restorer!

The wheels, wheel well's and engine bay was really tough due to the Krown Rust control tar stuff applied everyware except inside the car:banghead:, under the bonnet took 1 full bottle of superclean, rims/wheel wells took full bottle of rim cleaner..
Here it is all cleaned up!

ChadStang 07-11-2011 11:37 PM

Vapor is a great color and I believe it was only available for 2008

SNAKEBITE 07-12-2011 05:18 PM

I must be thinking another color and I think I mentioned I am shade blind so that's my excuse lol

Vapor Shelby 07-15-2011 06:40 AM

First Mod completed, Removed the stock mufflers on the Shelby (Boy were they heavy must have saved 50lbs) and replaced them with Pype Bombs... Oh my what a great sound:D
I will try to get a pass by video up soon!
Visited my local Ford dealer to transfer over the remaining warranty, went well, found out I have the remainder of the 5 years platinum plan :wiggle:
Can`t wait to go for a nice cruise hope the weather changes around, 4 days of RDF in my area, Hope you guys have nice cruising weather, summer is too short!

SNAKEBITE 07-15-2011 04:17 PM

What don't you like about it?

SNAKEBITE 07-16-2011 01:54 AM

It just does not seem deep enough, not loud for that matter to boot lol. I really liked my Flowmaster 40's on the 05gt as they produced the deep sound I look for.

CRASH 07-16-2011 06:20 AM

Do the Magnaflows give that nasty DRONE that the 40's are known for?

SNAKEBITE 07-16-2011 06:35 AM

No drone what so ever

Nice !! I have Shorties, O/R H-pipe, 40's & Dumps on the Wagon, drives me nutz sometimes.:banghead: I have a pair of Magnaflows in my "hoard", maybe I will try them. :tup

SNAKEBITE 07-17-2011 08:58 AM

The problem with my Magna's is I do not get on the car hard so that is why I find them to quite. Now that I do not care so much about dust maybe I will start to hit the go pedal a little harder bwah.

DublDee 07-17-2011 09:37 AM

Snake if you enjoyed your Flowmaster series 40's, you need to try the new American Thunder Axle back exhaust from Flowmaster. I met a fella passing through town with a grabber blue/red stripes GT500, and it sounded incredible! I stalked him all the way to the Shell station, and asked him if the exhaust was stock, and he said that he pulled the stock exhaust off as soon as he got the car, and put on the American Thunder exhaust kit. They make for the 5.0 and 5.4, and so far I cant find an application for the 4.6, but I'm sure the mufflers would be just fine on my 4.6.....Anyhow, I was mostly impressed with how the car sounded at low RPM's, kinda reminded me of a lion on the prowl, just waiting to pounce on its prey. Check it out at

It was under "new products":tup

That's the answer. Open that baby up.

A guy I work with has an American Thunder on his 07 GT so they should have it for your car. He has an off road h pipe with long tubes and FR hot rod cams. It sounds mean.

SNAKEBITE 07-17-2011 02:01 PM

Hey Dub that's exactly what I had on my 05gt and I will say it's the best sound to my ears yet. I will check out the 500 system and probably install it next spring. This year is almost over for me. After holidays I will have approx 6 weeks before it's time to put her away. Thanks for the heads up, I really appreciate it.
