The worst of it is that these things will be auctioned off and dirt bags will buy them, patch them, and re sell them to unsuspecting people. It happened a lot after Katrina. Thankfully with car proof and carfax there are records, unless it wasn't claimed under insurance.

Absolutely right, and I'm sure half of them will not be claimed, and resold to some poor sucker thinking he's getting a good deal. With Katrina, a lot of those cars were sold to small dealerships in Canada for dirt cheap, and sold without any disclosure about the damage.

Yep we received several "warning" emails from AMVIC and MDA advising dealers to be very cautious with imported vehicles from that area.

Very sad to see all those Mustang vehicles damaged. Hopefully insurance covers repairs or replacement. This is one reason I like to buy new off the lot or pre-order that way there is not worry about the car's past damage history. There is little honesty in car repair or car insurance claims disclosure.
