Mustang Race Team Sits Out in Protest

Sounds like the Mustang Teams competeing in the SCCA series sat out of the Mid Ohio race in protest of some rules that are totally screwing the Mustang teams over...Here's the link, and video!

I saw this the other day. I'm not familiar with the rules but it doesn't seem right when engine failures are occurring. There must be some other way to do it.

Yeah, and actually on the SPEED channel they talked a bit about this, and even the Mustangs that didn't experience engine failure, were running so hot that they were way down on power and just couldn't compete. Just isn't right to penalize the Fords just because they have a much better powerplant! That's what competition is all about, if someone has a better package, then you step up to the plate and try to one-up them, not cry about it, and restrict the better competitor.

Yea, air inlet restrictors are killing the Mustangs on the track. The rules have got to be changed.
