Just got it yesterday. Needs some work.

Does it run and drive alright? It doesn't look too bad really if it is original. Engine bay actually looks pretty clean. Looks like its a 6 cylinder, any plans for a 289 or 302 or something like that in it? Can't go wrong with a classic Stang.

Red Pony 11-21-2011 07:00 PM

Looks like a great project!! Love that engine compartment....you can identify what each part is, no extra emissions plumbing.

Mikey 11-21-2011 07:37 PM

Yes it is mostly original. The engine is a straight six 200. I am not sure what I am going to put in for an engine. I know I am not keeping the six cylinder. It does run too.

1low03gt 11-21-2011 08:02 PM

Nice!.....looks very solid!! Congrats. Let the fun begin. What are the plans?

ChadStang 11-21-2011 08:43 PM

Looks like a good solid base to start with

Mikey 11-22-2011 07:29 AM

Plans for now are strip it down, inside and out. Start some body work.

Vapor Shelby 11-22-2011 09:57 AM

Very cool Project! If you willing, post up a build thread ,take loads of pictures and post your progress? That would be a great thread!:tup
Good luck with the Build!

Apocalypse Pony 11-22-2011 05:33 PM

Nice starting point. That looks like an alarm system siren under the hood, if you look to the right in the pic, screwed onto the wheel well. My buddy had one looked a lot like that, he used to scare the crap outta guys by setting the alarm and then asking them to pop the hood. lol

Mikey 11-22-2011 06:13 PM

Yeah I noticed the alarm siren. But the alarm system is gone.

SNAKEBITE 11-27-2011 04:43 PM

Wow where have I been, looks like a solid project car so have fun and good luck

quadkeeper 01-17-2012 11:01 AM

Wow looks a lot like ours! More dents on this one though...can't wait till it's done and congrats on your purchase!

Mikey 01-18-2012 08:14 PM

Thanks, I am going to post some new pictures soon. I started to strip it down. The interior is gone. And started removing the exterior chrome and the front end.

SNAKEBITE 01-19-2012 04:29 PM

I am sure you will have fun

quadkeeper 02-29-2012 05:08 PM

Seems Mikey and I are doing the same build and we will post more pics as well.

SNAKEBITE 03-01-2012 11:54 AM

great to hear = yeah lol

quadkeeper 03-01-2012 12:05 PM

Finally got our computer working and have posted some pics, more to come. Where do we post a build thread? Would love to see both Mikey's and ours in same area. Happy motoring.

SNAKEBITE 03-01-2012 04:19 PM

There is a picture/vid section I believe oops I lied maybe in the general area

quadkeeper 03-02-2012 12:08 PM

Thanks Snakebite, we have stripped our car down pretty much bare and would like to post our project build in the right place...loads of pictures. Happy motoring!

SNAKEBITE 03-03-2012 07:46 AM

DublDee 03-04-2012 10:21 AM

Can't wait to see the progress reports on both of your projects:tup

quadkeeper 03-04-2012 05:27 PM

We have to hold off on the build for now. Having to put her back together so we can move her to her new home. A real garage and a house to ourselves! Wooo Whoo! Will post old pics in the gallery with our pics and start fresh after we get moved... hopefully the end of April, which also means she won't be ready this summer. Happy motoring.

SNAKEBITE 03-05-2012 09:53 AM

congrats on the garage the best thing ever

quadkeeper 03-05-2012 10:26 AM

Thank you Snakebite... there is something to be said for a wired shop but even a temp shelter is better than nothing...;-)

SNAKEBITE 03-06-2012 03:45 PM

absolutely

VAEM 03-06-2012 06:12 PM

Congrats on the garage indeed!

ChadStang 03-06-2012 08:52 PM
