For a guy that claims "I know NOTHING about cars" that's pretty darn impressive work. Thx for sharing.

haha thank you guys. I actually do know nothing about cars but i do know how to mod things as I have been doing mods for all sorts of things for years.

Here are some updates:

This is an update over the past year or so.
This year I upgraded my sway bars to the GT versions. That was a PITA to do because one or two of the bolts were so hard to get off. I had to cut one of the bolts off in the rear, good thing I had an extra. Car handles a little better now. Anyone need some extra sway bars? haha.

Next I finally finish retrofitting my head lights. I get such nice compliments from strangers and Mustang owners. In fact people want to copy me! I was shocked! A guy stopped me on the Fallowfield and asked where I got my lights. Once I told him I made them myself he was disappointed! haha Sorry dude.

By-passing the DRL system was such a challenge that I needed my brothers help (he is a master mechanic). We end up adding 2 relays so they function properly. So now when I put down the Ebrake the ring and two slits light up (like the 2016s)

and when I turn on my actual headlights:

This is the final result after putting on the headlight splitters:

Next I installed new rotors and breaks last summer. I cleaned up the brake calipers because I wanted to paint them before adding anything new, and of course when putting everything back on, the right rear one gave me so much trouble. Again called upon my bother to help.

Cleaned caliper:

After I painted them. I also added decals to them:

Yes I know my rims need to be fixed up. It does bother me.

So a few months go by and its this summer. I'm driving one day and I see this:

What the hell?

How did THAT happen? Hardly even use the Resume button. I looked online and noticed a lot of people have this issue too. Cheap paint on Fords part. So I found and bought decals to go over them. Once they arrived I tried it and didnt like the look of it. Looks way to cheap. So I sanded the spot down and as I did that more loose paint started to show up all over the 4 buttons!! What a nightmare.

Then I proceeded to air brush them. Turned out ok.

Though it still bothered me so I bought new ones. So I have these ones as back up or if someone wants them Ill sell them cheap.

After that I went ahead and tackled the aging plate frames I bought 2 years ago. Finding someone to do chrome decals in the Mustang logo was a PITA. It seems no one I asked from ebay could do it or they charged $40 for these tiny things. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. So I bought my own chrome vinyl and cut out the letters and horse myself.
Went from this:

To this:

Doesnt look to shabby if you ask me!

Also last summer I was on the highway and noticed that my wing was flying around. So I stopped and went to see and noticed that the hinge broke! Someone out there really hates me.

I fixed it so it wouldn't fly around but decided to get a gt500 style spoiler instead.
(insert picture later)

Finally his winter I wanted to fix my aging trunk medallion. There were spot in it and I also wanted to customize it.
So I stripped it down and repainted it and this is what I did to it:

It only turns on when I turn on my headlights.

Also since Oracle came out with these rather cool LED side markers I've been thinking of customizing my own.

First I wanted to get an led third brake light but didn't want to pay those crazy prices. So since I had extra COB led light strips laying around so I added some inside the light housing. Turned out pretty good. These are white leds but ill changing it to red ones. This is just a test.

Next it did my rear side marker. Ill be changing my markers from red to clear smoke and will be using red cob leds as well. Again I used white leds, this is just a test.

Looks so much better.
Before

After

I am now working on upgrading the lighting in the front side markers and the indicator. I have an idea, but waiting for parts to come in. Will show once I have some pictures

I also wanted to do sound deadening but wasn't able to last year as I hoped. Maybe this summer.

Nice work. I love seeing threads like this, far beyond just bolting parts.

A little update.
I finally found the dark side markers and customized them. Really didn't like the tiny light bulb that would shine inside them so I did this to it. Looks 100x better IMO. Attached before and after shots.

I am currently waiting for nicer weather to test fit the one of the front side markers since I completed one. Just need to see if I can wire it up properly on the car and it will work as planned.

Very impressed with all your mods. I really like the instrument cluster work.
What gauge template did you use? Did you order the 2010+ and then stick that on the stock gauge cluster?

I'd love some details on the back lighting as well. Does it still work with the "my color" option?

Thank you sir!

You might have missed it but I mentioned in my first post that I customized mine cluster using blackcatcustom.ca. They worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. I based it off the 2010+ cluster.

I used an El panel to make it glow. I connected it to my headlight switch I believe. Unfortunately since it is a since colour, it does not work with the my colour option. But they are many colours of El panels out there. haha.

If youd like to know anything else LMK!
