Souther Ontario guys, there is the GHMA "Mustangs at Mosport" event in the summer every year. Entry is around $250ish, and you get on the Grand Prix circuit at Mosport for the day. And you don't get held back behind a pace car ... an S197 GT will hit about 120 mph on the back straight once you start getting it figured out.

cheers

How cool would that be? Especially with no pace car! The feeling I had at MIS was that you really were'nt going fast enough, you kept hoping that the pace car would pick it up a little. Still a unique experience though.

It's very cool ... I instruct at the event every year. A friend with a modded C6 Z06 Corvette will hit 165+ mph up the straight there, which I think is crazy in a street car without a cage. Even my beater Taurus SHO will see ~105 - 110 mph in to corner 8 at the end of the straight, if I brake deep enough.

cheers

Super cool idea for the garage aka man-cave. Road Courses are nice, but for fans of the ovals, that would be a cool experience to say you did it, just once, kind of a bucket list thing.

Yeah, the fact that I've seen many races there and got to see how it looks from the business side of the fence made it all the more special.

Trust me, that process is never completed!!! Sometimes on hold until finances allow, but seems we always find more things to do or add to the "man-cave"
