ChadStang 02-28-2012 08:52 PM

Crazy

1low03gt 02-28-2012 09:56 PM

Awesome find! Nice to see he plans on leaving it as is!:tup

def67 02-29-2012 07:53 AM

^ Ya I read the article too, they arent saying leave it all rusted looking are they?
Is that a stupid question?

DublDee 02-29-2012 10:20 AM

Very nice, and one of my favourite years for the 500:tup

SNAKEBITE 02-29-2012 04:53 PM

If this car was actually in a garage and in decent shape I would leave it alone, this one would be getting a repaint

roddy 02-29-2012 07:07 PM

I like a nice clean car as much as the next guy, but I dig the survivor look as well.

1low03gt 02-29-2012 07:20 PM

They say the new trend now is to leave well enough alone if a classic is solid. They still rack in huge coin, if not more then a fully restored one.

Beautiful!

ChadStang 02-29-2012 09:07 PM

I'd paint it. I like the "rat rod" look but not on a Stangs, especially a Shelby.

Just couldn't leave it like that myself.....It would be like having a candy bar and not being able to open it......Just couldn't do it:D

^^^what if the paint was in decent shape then what?^^^

DublDee 03-01-2012 12:15 PM

If the paint was ok, and body was good, then I would leave it alone, and do what I could with it, using compound, polish and wax.:D

SNAKEBITE 03-01-2012 04:16 PM

^^^That would be my exact plan as well, great minds think alike.

DublDee 03-01-2012 06:57 PM

^^You know it:D

1low03gt 03-01-2012 09:12 PM

Hey, i am with you guys on that one LOL!

SNAKEBITE 03-01-2012 10:12 PM

^^^very good and of coarse young fella lol

1low03gt 03-03-2012 05:30 PM

You guys see what i drive, there is no way i can not have a shiny car. :tup

SNAKEBITE 03-04-2012 09:58 AM

same here. I just think it would be weird driving such a classic and having it look so rough

ChadStang 03-04-2012 04:59 PM

^ it would save a lot of polishing I guess

SNAKEBITE 03-05-2012 09:56 AM

nah that still doesn't work for me tehehe

ChadStang 03-06-2012 01:28 PM

Even with new paint at least it wouldn't be black

Lorne 03-20-2012 08:52 PM

I thought it was on BJ this year, but it was this barn find.
