2005-2012 Mustang - Service Bulletin

Ford updated an earlier service bulletin on the rear drive axle vent - oil leak issue. My '12 goes in tomorrow for the replacement.

The update part is a little turkey baster bulb looking thing that allows for expansion of the fluid as the diff heats up. Let us know if the fix works out for you!

cheers

According to the bulletin it's about a half hour fix, so I'll be waiting for it.

Will do...They said it's pretty common issue, so hopefully it's all good when they're done.

I've never minded recalls - at least it's getting fixed.

^^ Exactly, and all my experience with Ford, I have never had an issue with any warranty work, or stuff like this.

Wonder why the '05 to '12 are having issues? It's great there is a fix, but why aren't the earlier models not having this issue?

Shouldn't be a big deal at all. I'm glad they have a fix for you.
