Ford of Canada has annouced yesterday that the Ford GT will be available in Canada.
The timing is "later in the year" and allocation would be "a maximum of 1 per dealer".

Base price will be $184,995 plus Freight ($2,500 on an enclosed trailer) and options.

They are estimating around 200 for all Canada

Rumour has it that there was a nice new Ford GT cruising down the 401 and up the 404. I wish I was there to see it. I hear they haul *** and are very comfortable with one hand on the wheel doing well over the legally posted limit.

No clue, its times like this I wish I could win the lottery. Theres nothing more I want in this world than the Ford GT, and maybe a Ferrari F40 as a daily driver :biggrin:

As I understand, all of them were spoken for the day the announcement was made.

Ford has said 100 will be built in December/January time frame and 100 will be built in the July/August '06 time frame.

Ford has not told the dealers how they will be distributed or which dealers will get them. There are approximately 500 dealers in Canada, many of them very small - 50 cars per year. They just said a maximum of one per dealership.

As with us, I am sure every dealer has a list of interested buyers.
