This looks like a handy item, no drilling to mount the front plate.

Any time a clean order is put on the order bank a DORA is processed. Until there is a vin on the DORA, there is no guarantee you'll get the vehicle.

I feel bad for you guys having to run a front plate. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it happens here.

What about a partial VIN?

Ive never noticed a partial vin before, if so its probably just the digits that are the same in every vin. Regardless the vin is assigned to the vehicle once the order has scheduled. Until a vehicle has scheduled there is no guarantee the order will be built. For the order to schedule there are several factors that come into play such as dealer allocation and wether any of the options are constrained or unavailable.

I'll give you a little run down on how the system works. I can place 25 Mustang GT orders tomorrow. Tuesday we will receive DORA's for all 25 cars as long as they are clean orders with no errors. Thursday is when our weekly orders are scheduled and any that have scheduled will generate new DORA's with vin numbers that we will receive Friday. If we didn't have any allocation for any Mustang's this week, None of the 25 orders will schedule. If we have allocation but there is commodity restriction on something on the orders such as the GT trim, none of our orders will schedule but our allocation will be filled by a system generated order that is build able.
