$68000 taxes in, or $68000 plus taxes? Either way, it's only money, if you got the means to pull it off, I say do it. As far as taking a bath on the GT/CS, you won't be thinking about it when you put your butt in the GT350 and turn the key. I got a feeling somehow at that point it will be "GT what, what GT/CS?". lol I'd take one in a minute.

Your likely right, I have a huge amount of time, mods and money in my
current car, but by the sound of the 5.2 FPC exhaust, the loses will wash away
with the first time I start it, if that don't do it, hitting 8200 rpm, should clear the rest away. Can't wait.

Old topic I know, insert crypt keeper pics here lol, but wow is this car a hot topic on some of the 'Murican forums. Guys screaming about dealer markups and bidding wars, its pretty entertaining reading. Especially when you get the regular GT owners baiting the Shelby-ites by saying they enjoy their cars and they're like $25000 less money, and that they can get the same performance for less money with mods. ha ha ha ha LMAO Wow, do the Shelby-ites get hot about that.

I drove the GT350R at Sebring and I have driven the GT
I am sure you could make it as fast for the same kind of money.
But you will never get anywhere near this car in
complete package with a GT and 20 k.
It is amazing.

Drove a 350R at Sebring? Holy Sweet Jebus man, how did your wife let you sell your first born to do that? lol Seriously great opportunity, how did you score it? Better yet, did you take any pics? And third, does it really sound as sweet in car as it does on all the videos out there? PS, I've seen your name on the previously mentioned forums, but I won't tell anyone. lol Any updates on when yours is going to show up? I would need the two back seats, and leather, so I guess the plain old GT350 with the Tech package might be for me.

LOL, I got lucky and was on wait list for Performance track tour.
So had to buy tickets, etc to Florida, but rest was paid for by Ford.
I will post more, I am away for a few days, will add some pics also.
But the sound is far better in person, as is the car.
Performance, is far better than I could have hoped for.

I ordered this car in June, originally was expecting winter/ spring delivery.
I got VIN number in August with original build date of Sept14. Well since then it has moved out 5 times, and latest was was Dec.7, then it moved back to Nov. 27th.
So odds are if I get it this year it will be sitting in garage til spring.
With all the hype with this car, I have read everything and will admit I was over the top
with expectations. When I got the opportunity to go to Sebring for the North American Ford
track tour, I had to do it. ( I had not even seen it in person before this)
I got there, the car does look incredible, sounds wicked and once pushed
the sound is unlike anything in this world, best description is a V-8 sound with an Italian
accent I got 4 laps in a R and another 3 laps with instructor. This car far outdoes my expectations, from about 3500rpm's it pulls hard right to read line.
When your mind says shift ( about 6000) its a long way to go
The brakes are incredible, handling is unbelievable. So yes I am happy.
A few pics.

Awesome pics, looks like it was a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!! I haven't seen any bad reviews on this car yet, most of the automotive press has been raving about it. Can't wait to hear and see one in person.

It was a blast and if you ever get the chance to do one of these events, bite the
bullet and go, you will not regret it.

Heres another good review and interesting read.

Interesting read ^^^

I didn't read it all, skimmed for the Mustang parts.

That's a beast. 8.9 seconds to 100mph. Being mentioned in the same breath Corvette, Viper and Ferrari is quite something for a Mustang.

I've read several pieces on the GT350 and all of them mention the flat crank sound.
