I like looking at old cars, but driving them just isn't like driving a new one though. A resto mod is the best of both worlds. I remember seeing a project a guy took on in MM&FF magazine. He transplanted a 67 Fastback body onto the Chassis of an 03 Cobra. It took alot of fab work but it looked great and performed like a new car.

that would be a ton of work no doubt but as you said the best of all worlds. If the older car is staying in the city I can see keeping it stock but otherwise no thanks. I know some will say they do not have problems on the long/longer trips but I would always have the breakdown worry in the back of my mind.
