My 05 focus has 200000K as of today!

Maintenance so far,

Numerous oil changes
Still original brakes
Changed one motor mount
New Alternator (went for the high performance for 100 or so bucks more, the choice was wait two days for OEM or take high performance now)
New battery

The plan is, once its paid for drive it till it dies, hopefully the stang is paid of by then, buy new focus ( or ranger if they're still around) for the wifey, and supercharge the stang (roush m90). The longer the focus last the better, free without car payment is a good thing.

Can't wait!
Pretty good especially considering the wife drives about 1/4 of her clicks in the focus on gravel roads!

edit again

Also knock on wood about the maintenance thing, lol
Get average around 35mpg, so not too bad but not the advertised 40 when we bought it.

congrats on the post thing and Focus thing. I can tell you it's so nice to have the cars/trucks paid off, now it's time to save like hell for retirement

Saving for retirement is, and should be the most important thing now a days. I put as much into RSP's as I possibly can, and it's a win-win thing too when it comes to tax time

Yup I try to max out on them every year. Why give it to the Gov't if you don't have too?
