Saleen unveils Series VI.5 supercharger system

Saleen’s Series VI supercharger system has been the tried and true power-adder for hundreds of S197 Mustangs since it was first introduced in 2005. Earlier versions on the initial Saleen S281 Mustangs were only producing around 400 from the 4.6-liter V8, but by 2009 Saleen had fine tuned their supercharger package to produce as much as 620 horsepower in the S302 Extreme Mustang.

Now with new owners and a new name, Saleen Performance Vehicles decided to give the supercharger system a refresh to create the Series VI.5. The updated package features an all-new manifold lid that provides a much smoother path for increased air flow. The new kit also comes with new gaskets, bolts, TMAP sensor and wiring harness.

Current owners of the Series VI supercharger system can upgrade to the Series VI.5 model for $599.99, although complete packages are available as well. The Series VI supercharger system retails for $6,499.99 for 2005-2009 Mustangs and $6,599.99 for the 2010 Mustang.

That looks like a nice sleek package compared to the last design!

USD pricing. Not cheap by any stretch .... But that price includes the "Saleen name" - no doubt an addition of 10% or more to the cost.

Kind of like Roush and my buddy Shelby. The nice thing is these guys have quality behind their names so all in all the s/c would be a great purchase.

Agreed. When you buy from Shelby, Saleen and Roush you know 100% that you're buying a quality product.

I would hope that for $6500 US, plus installation, you would get new gaskets!!! Seems like an odd thing to throw into your sales pitch. Nice looking piece of hardware, be nice to have the cash to throw one on.

A little of topic but in Dec 98 I was going to spend 4200.00 on a computer at Future S*op and they would not throw in a 15.00 cord for free. I walked, my brother in law said the salesmans face dropped=priceless

Wonder how much commission went with it - that's not keeping a very good eye on the big picture from a sales point of view. Get cheap with a cord, lose a sale. It's one thing if you wanted a free monitor - good for you.
