17 inch Rims by Weld Racing

Here are the 17 x 4 1/2 skinnies from Weld Racing. They are a direct bolt on for the 03/04 Cobra/Mach as they clear the bigger brakes and do not stick out past the wheel well. I am getting the specs from them in the email. As of now I just have the two pics.
The matching backs are 17 x 9.25 which would hold a 275 and up.

Here is the email I got from them.
Hi Greg,

The website has not been updated to include these wheels, yet. However, attached is a photo of the 17x9.25 polished rear. The 17x4.5 front will have the same look, but narrower. It is available in the polished finish or completely annodized gold.

I have Paul at Steeda.ca working on price for me.

Which one do you all like better, if you like them at all.

If you follow NHRA Pro Stock division you will recognize the Magnums as they are used by a bunch or the drivers. The Alumastars are also a pro stock rim.

Comments!

Cool stuff. Is anyone producing 17" tires narrow enough to go on a 4.5" wheel? IIRC, none of the regular stuff out there now would squeeze on.

cheers

I like those Alumastar spoked wheels, and the size sounds right for me...17 x 9.25". Any idea as of to the price for a set of 4 of those? I would like to find out.....(I hope the price doesn't scare the crap outta me.....)

Steeda is going to get back to me. I know there is a lot of interest for a light wheel that fits no problems on the front of the Mach and the Cobras.

The blue Mach weighed the fronts and came out at 22 pounds with 30 psi in the tires.

OMG! It's about time! I will definately get a front/rear setup. The 275 40 R17 M/T drag Radials would go on those rears perfectly. They rims even look killer for the street!

Make sure you are seated when you get a price back. I priced the regular 15" versions a while back and the fronts alone ticked in at just over $700 a piece. I can't see the 17" versions being a deal over them. Oddly enough the 3 piece rears to match were cheaper, seems the one piece front are made of gold or something LOL!

They do look killer though!

I just did a quick search over on www.summitracing.com and they have a price structure for the Alumastars.

17x4.5 Part Number 788-1704204 = $532.99 US
17x9.25 Part Number 788-1709212 = $607.39 US

Pricey little devils!
