That my friends is 18-19,000.00 more than I paid for a new 09 GT500 1 1/2 years ago. I will say the car does have 50 hp more and handles better but 18-19,000.00 worth, I am not sure the difference in money is worth it.

Man's got good taste in cars....gotta love that all black, no stripes combo.

Crazy pricing fo sho, reminds me of the same situation when the GT500's came out and the inflated prices. Smart bet is to wait - patience pays off.

SNAKEBITE - you should be in jail dude, because for the price you paid for your GT500, you STOLE it !!!

Nice to have someone agree with me most of the time...Not use to that!
That is the only thing i hate about dealers, they take advantage of all the "new" products, especially when it comes to the mustang.
They know people want the new 5.0L cause they just got to have it,which feeds into this whole b.s for the dealers.
Man that is a crazy hike in price.

The price I paid was the only reason for the purchase. There is an older chap out this way that was on Ford's short list when the 07's came out and he got the phone call. The sales manager said 80,000.00 plus 5% gst for the 07 gt500 and he said "no thanks" If I could get an 11 gt500 for 60,000 tax in I would consider it but not necessarily buy it.

Interrior Trim Pkg - $500
Heated Leather seats (incl with Interrior Trim Pkg)
Next gen nav system - $2,300
Total MSRP= $44,749

Which has some very nice options! I'd skip the nav system myself but threw it in because maybe the dealer's had it in it.

It looks like the dealer's out there are making some serious markups! I haven't priced one out here yet but it looks like they are trying to cash in big time with the new arrivals.

Does this include the 6000.00 in sales taxes added in? If not you are at 50,000.00

The more I read threads like this the happier I am with my purchase, and not waiting for the 5.0. Although another 100hp would be nice!
But give it a year or two and they will come down/ offer better prices, the 05's were marked up for a while when they first came out.

see that's why i'm waiting till i can trade off the Si on a newer GT or a new edge cobra, everything right now seems to be hiked up wwaaaaay too much.. but with the 2011's at that price, the 2010's will come down a fair bit (maybe enough for me to grab one? ) time will tell

If the prices stay up there, they are going to kill the mustang. At that price you are getting into the more high end cars which the stang doesn't campare to. The stang was supposed to be for the average joe and have the best bang for the buck, and in my opinion ford is lossing that.

if you think about it tho.. most makes are getting up there. today i realized that with toyota.. i just had a 2010 tacoma TRD go out today, $38,000 after misc accessories and a 3" lift (sweet looking truck. but down the road at GM you can get a decently loaded sierra or silverado for $35,000.. now what would you rather have.. a light pickup for 38k or a half ton for 3k less PLUS rebates.. :S nobody seems to get it, ford is loosin it with the stangs, toyota trucks. just waay over priced..
