Or Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position 245 45 R19 Rated Y Load is 96.

I'm a Bridgestone/Firestone guy, so that would be my personal choice. However, the Nitto seems a little more track focused, so if you plan any autoX or pay-per-lap events, that tire may work better for you.

I haven't driven on the Bridgestones yet, but I do know that the NT-05 works nice on the newer Mustangs. My buddy who tracks the 07 GT has been running them for a few years. Anything 245 width for such a big car is a compromise though. I thought that you were ordering a set of the D-Force 18x10" wheels?

X3 for the Nitto's

 

A friend of mine runs his 2010 GT on Nitto Extreme Performance NT555. He has tried several different tire packages on his car, and says these are the best he's tried for off the line traction, and cornering! I really like my Pirelli P Zero Summer tires, but haven't done any real driving on them yet!

 

My friend with the 07 had tried the 555 on his car before going to the NT-05. They were OK, nothing spectacular. I drove it a few times when he still had the 555s on it. On track they would grip decently on dry, warm days, but if it was spring or fall with cool temps, or wet, they weren't very good. Cooler days, they would understeer going in to the corner, and oversteer on the way out. In the exact same conditions we tried the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 rubber off my Super Coupe on his car, much better.

Yeah, I would definitely take Fast Eds advice, as he has obviously had experience with this, and knows what he's talking about. Me on the other hand....well I'm just going on hear-say, and have had no experience with the tires myself. Once again, great advice Fast Ed
