The 2014 a lighter model on the way

Here's a list, in no particular order:
Vibration from rear of car @ 50 kph & 110 kph - 5 trips to dealer before corrected by installing new ring & pinion in rear end
Front passenger side fender liner flapping in the wind - 2 trips to dealer being told nothing was wrong, then liner replaced twice & still flapping, then I just fixed it myself
Water leak through passenger window - 2 trips to dealer before being fixed
Water leak through drivers window - a couple of trips a year for the first two years to the dealer, and a couple times since to fix. Has something to do with that automatic de-pressurization when you open the doors
All of the above were reported before the car had 3,000 km
Pet peeve problems:
Can't prove it, but first cold day of year (-17C) in the first year of ownership started car and entire windshield cracked horizontally. Ford said there must have been a stone chip, so insurance would cover it. I couldn't see a chip, took it to Apple for replacement & they confirmed no chip.
Hood corrosion due to iron particles contaminating the aluminum hood panels before they were painted. Really peeves me because Ford knew about this (TSB 06-25-15) and also knew that the corrosion was so slow to appear (it started at 39 months on my car) that the 3 year warranty would be up before it affected most owners. Classless act on Fords part.
Sorry this turned into a bit (a lot?) of a rant, just trying to warn off potential first time new model buyers

As the original owner of an '05, I'll agree with you SNAKEBITE. I experienced many small problems with my limer, most of which were fixed, but many took repeated trips to my not too reliable dealer's service department before being fixed correctly.

You're not alone on that one StevOH, talking to all the 05 limers they went through the lists of problems their 05s have and the many trips to dealerships to get fixes. And yes, Ford tried to weasel out of some of the problems. So I am very thankful to all the 05 owners, and sympathize for you, for helping to make my 06 pretty much trouble free.

I had an 05 GT but it was in a garage and never driven in the rain (literally) so I did not have the wet issues. My list went like this, replaced gas tank due to a venting issue??? replaced the upper strut something and that as far as I can remember was it. I traded it when it had 7800 k's so I did not have it long enough or with a lot of k's to develope any other issues.

Not sure if I like the idea of a smaller Mustang. I think we have already been through this idea between 1978-1995. The 1978-1980 were ugly in my opinion but that is just me. Why ruin a good thing. The video hits it on the head though when speaker stated that the 2005 retro model was a big hit....have to say I agree with him on that point.
