2016 convertible windows

Hope this is not a repeat, but I searched and could not find this question. Does anyone know the Ford logic in giving the 2016 convertible windows one touch down for the sides, but not for the rear quarters, and then no one touch up for any of them? It even has that in the brochure. The glass backs get them all one touch. ( No quarters of course ) Just curious.

That's weird...I guess what they meant by get them all one touch is when you take the top down they all go down at the same time before the top starts to go down... As far as going back up, on my 2014 GT convertible, both side windows go down and up one touch and the quarter windows both go down at the same time by holding the button and same to go up.

Same behaviour on my 2017 GT Convertible - side windows have auto up & down, both rear quarters operate on the one switch, but the switch has to be held to raise & lower them. Whenever the top is put down, the windows all lower first. If I happen to raise the windows with the top down, the windows will all lower again once I try to put the top up. I suspect this is done in order to make certain the windows slide properly into the seals in the top.

If your windows aren't raising with a one-touch auto up, are you sure you are pulling on the switch high enough? There's also a procedure to reset the auto windows - will have to look it up. Better half had a similar problem with her 2016 Edge, and the dealer reset her windows, and the auto up/down worked again. They showed her the procedure, but I didn't ask further.

lucwolf - try the procedure found at one of the links below to reset your windows:

Reset auto up - windows - 2013 / 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 Ford Escape Forum

https://themustangsource.com/forums/...orking-499445/

While the one link is to a Ford Escape forum, it appears as if the procedure is the same across most (all?) Ford models.

Thanx Lambykin. Tried it 5 times. No luck. I can feel the part of the switch that sets it into one touch up, but it just will not work. Off to the dealer I guess. I have other things to do too...on a NEW VEHICLE. Most annoying! I appreciate your input.
