4:10 Gears and 7.5 T Lock
What is needed for the install? Im hoping to have them in the next few weeks, but i need as much info as possible. Sorry if I seem dense but I have been having huge trouble finding a site offering helpful info on these gears. If i upgrade my v6 to these will I need to calibrate my computer for different shift points? If so where is the cheapest i can do so? I need help!

Are you planning on trying to install the gears yourself? I'd trust a shop to do it, if I was you.
|
Lol
My brother is a mechanic and I have several contacts at the shops who I get free labor from. Im mainly concerned about the shift points?
|
Is your car automatic?
|
Yes
Automatic with overdrive.
|
I'm not completely sure but i'm pretty sure yes since its an automatic and you'd end up hitting the rev limiter alot quicker.
|
I see
Any idea where I can get a cheap tune to fix it then?
|
You can pick up a new tuner from most of our sponsor, or see if any one has one for sale.
the tuner will also recalibrate your speedo as well as shift points, and with it you can also change settings in your computer to get a bit more power. for the stuff you need to install the gears and T-lok, you might want to look at buying a master install kit. |
This sounds like its getting more and more expensive
:( This sucks, Im way over my head.

It is a great buy no matter what. master install kit http://www.themustangshop.ca/site/ca...thod=Category3 tuners. http://www.steeda.ca/online_catalogue_shop_vehicle.asp |
Hmm
Would it be cheaper to just go to Steeda and have them tune it?
|
You would have to call them call them and ask. not sire what they would need.
|
the best way is to get something like a sct xcal2 that will correct your speedo shift points and everything they also make a big differance in the power if you have a performance tune
