This is something I wanted to hear from another 5.0 owner.

Really??? You couldn't feel the difference from 87 to 91? I can't say myself what the difference would be as I have never run anything less than 91.

The difference between 87 and 91 octane is 12hp (400 to 412) in my 2012 or about 3% or so. Not something I would notice in daily driving. If you prefer to get all the engine is capable of for track days or whatever, then bye all means use 91. I wonder if 94 octane makes an improvement over 91?

Is there any other reason to use higher octane fuel other than hp, I wonder? Is it better for the engine, cleaner running or such? Really don't know.
