I really want a standard, was wondering if things will run smoothly if my 1999 mustang v6 automatic transmission was converted to standard

Well I have done this conversion and it worked well for me. Do the research.Check this thread here,AUTO to MANUAL SWAP! - 3.8 Mustang Message Board I used the tranny from a 2000 mustang which has the VSS sensor in the tailshaft. If your car has the internal balanced crank, than you have to get the correct flywheel ( don,t ask why I know this). You can use your auto computer, but it needs to be re-programmed and you will also need the pigtails from the manual harness for the VSS and back up switchess. The DRS needs to be left in park and the neutral rev limiter removed (in the tune).
