About pipes

I got a question about pipes.

How do you know what is the best size for best performance.

Like will 4" dia or 5" dia do better.

What happens if the pipes are to big? Not enough constriction.

Its pretty complicated , you need to know more about physics to learn what happens to compressed air and how it flows.

If there is to much compression it will just back fire. I'm not sure about too less compression , it might not help when giving it gas.
