Automotive Certification

Hi:

I have a 65 Mustang and was wondering what mechanics look for when certifying a classic. Is it the same as newer cars? Can anyone recommend where I can get my car certified in Mississauga?
Also, I need to replace my steering box, is it possible to get the car high enough using a floor jack to remove the box. (The steering shaft is attached to the box and has to come out from the bottom together).

Thanks
Walter

Can't recommend a place, but pretty much any garage or service centre will do them, there's nothing special that they would look for on a classic, it's all the basic safety stuff, lights, brakes etc. Whether or not you can get the car high enough with a jack to remove the steering box depends on how creative you are with the jack and jackstands. Post some pics of your project, love them classic Mustangs.
