Brake Pads / Rotors
I'm looking to buy some new pads and rotors (front/back) today or tomorrow since I NEED them. What's a good brand for both? I'm kinda weary about getting cross drilled ones because a lot of them crack, but I guess they would need to be from a reputable dealer.

hey, went i first got my cobra, i asked the same questions.
i was told but the parts guy and other ppl on forums, that you don't need cross drilled rotors, unless you plan on road racing.
nxghost will also tell you to get brembo rotors.(i think)
i personally went with napa ceramic brake pads and their house brand of rotors. i didn't get the high quility rotors but the second best ones.
i get a little bit of squealing every now and then but no warping of the rotors.
i think when i priced every thing out napa was fas the cheapest out of all of them.

How are those ceramic pads under normal driving? I know the ceramic rotors need to be warmed up before they're effective...
just a tad bit of smell when really really hard braking, but im sure you get that with any set up.

Like White Snake said... I will say get Brembos! I went though many sets before realizing ford also had the same problem and switched suppliers in 1999 to Brembo. Problem solved. Although white snake has the napa's. It has been a short period of time and I wouldnt count out any problems yet. Try a few 160-170km/h stop at the end of a dragstrip and you will know right away if you got a bum set.

still braking strong
but it is still early.
what do a set of brembos go for? i think i payed 125 per rotormaybe not even that.

My suggestion would be Brembo calipers and pades. They are the best i've found. I have cross drilled rotors, calipers and pades by Brembo, Let me tell you the brakes are awesome. I have them on my 1988 Gt
