break in dilemma

hi guys,

just a question- i have 2014 gt just have 300 kms on it by end of week probably will have 500 km- my dilemma is with the break in period
manual says 1600kms vary speed etc- but with summer winding down and waiting years ( 10) to finally be able to buy one I have a chance for a long road trip to Miami and Orlando- should I use the car or would you guys skip such a trip till broken in?

thanks guys in advance for your input.

I'd use the trip to break it in. Vary your speed and put the hammer down, make sure those rings get seated.

I agree with Def67. Vary the speed but drop the hammer. I've beat on every new car I've owned with out issue. Besides, if you break it you have warranty.

Yah dude, i'm with everyone else, drive it like you stole it. Shouldn't be any different than if you bought a winter beater.
