Bumper Dent Removal
Bumper Dent Removal
HA... My daughter's BF borrows my SUV. Not my Stang....i'm not that dumb. Lucky I wasn't...LOL. He brings it back with a softball size dent in the Poly bumper, right on the passenger side. Got too close to a yellow post. There was no tear, just a 6" dent, going approx. 2" deep. He was bent, I wasn't..too old for that..Ha. Next morning I went on the internet, found a Utube spot for just what I needed. I typed in "fix a dent in a plastic bumper". Up pops a video on using a hairdryer and Dust-Off, a product made for computer keyboards. DAMN....IT WORKED. I had to massage the Poly for about an hour or so, not sure if the cold from the spray worked?? But you wouldn't know that it even happened, unless you got real close. I'm impressed and would try the hairdyer first, next time. I'm not sure the $11.00 for the spray, really helped me. I think I coulda done it with just the heat...
Nope....as usual, I was kinda skeptical that it would even work. Thought about the pics later. There is a great Utube video...you can even hear the POP as it comes out. Thats how I found out about the process in the first place. I googled " Fix a dent in a plastic bumper". The Utube vdoe will come up in the search.
