Dent King

Went to Dent King in Kelowna on Thursday. The tech pulled out two small dents and applied touch up paint to four small areas. GT looks like new. The only think left to do is a rock chip in the grey hood stripe. Turns out the stripes on the GT are painted on so I had to go to Lordco in Kelowna have them take a picture of the paint stripe. The camera that they use is pressed against the paint to identify the colour. The colour of the stipe is Ford Brilliant Silver and I will apply it tomorrow. Once done and car is washed I will post a whole new set of pics.

The Dent King cost including tax was $190.40. Pretty cheap compared to an autobody shop.

All coming together nicely Ray, can't wait to see the new pics. Nice touch that the stripes are actually painted on and not decals, that would be factory and not aftermarket right?

Yes the stipes are factory which will make clay bar and polish a lot easier.

All of the factory GT stripes were vinyl

According to Dent King it looks like they are painted on the 2007 GT. But they and I could be wrong.

Yours are not factory stripes as the factory ones did not carry down the bumpers or go over the spoiler. They look a lot more like the GT500 style stripes. Someone probably had them painted which is not uncommon, and it's a huge upgrade over the vinyl ones

I have vinyl on mine, wish they were painted. But either way stripes do look good and help make these cars.

Touch Up Results

I touched up the ding in the hood today. Looks a lot better than it did although the paint appears a little darker than the stripe. Perhaps a little wear and some polish/wax will make it blend in better. It three seperate coat applications.
