Car is done!
The new setup is pretty much done and I just got it back from being tuned. All the work was done by Defcon Rev N' High and was tuned by Paul Meister @ Steeda.ca.
Darren did an awesome job building the new forged motor with the custom head porting (which was truly a work of art).. Those who have seen Darren's port work can attest to this. For the amount of new stuff this time around, everything went off without a hitch.. That includes new motor, tranny, axles, fuel system, turbo customizations, etc.. That in itself is a testament to the attention to detail.
Paul did an awesome job with the tuning on this thing. With any radical combo, it's always a pain in the *** to maintain drivability which is something I didn't want to sacrifice.. I have to hand it to Paul because he completely pulled this off.. The thing drives better than stock.. then when you romp on it, it becomes a monster.
The car made 522 rwhp/633 rwtq on 15 psi of boost with a very safe tune on a VERY hot day. We'll most likely dial up the boost to see what it makes but this is perfect for a street tune.
The car is still dirty right now so no new pics yet.. I'll post them when I wash it after the fender wall is back in.
