That said...it doesn't make sense to me to post this experience until after you have contacted any business to give them the opportunity to rectify the situation. I have two folders on my hard drive: one with responses to my letters to companies where they have responded to me in situations where I had issues with a product/service (and I go straight to the top), and the second where they have opted not to stand behind their product or service.

The latter I can complain about/report/not deal with again but I have at least given them the opportunity to deliver on the service or product promise to me, their customer.

Please note I'm not making a comment about any particular shop here but referring to a broader range of companies (including Fortune 500 multinationals) I have provided service/product experience feedback to.
Custom tuned chips aren't performance parts especially when the shop "makes" the tune they are responsible for it, no?

if someone fucked up my car that bad and recommended octane booster to fix a tune, I wouldn't go back either. especially if I lives hundreds of miles away

I don't know about that
If distance was a problem or I couLd not leave my car anywhere until it was completed to my satisfaction then I would look at closer options. I feel for the guy but I think the value is limited until you can say the other side chose to do A or B or neither in response. Especially in a car where the process is an iterative one.

Btw, isn't anything better that stock = performance? At least that's how our insurance companies looks at it...lol!

I do luv this forum for its freedom to express one's opinion. The venting tends to ease the pains of learning from one's wallet

Keep up the good work Fellas

Try ME, ... sorry about your luck, (DASILVAS, he has actually done fine by me), but Have had another dyno place smoke a set of rings in my 289 for me, so it is basically a hit and miss I think.
