Drag Suspension for daily drivers

How would a set of Lakewoods affect my daily driving type performance? I want that extra grip at the track but don't want my daily driving experience to be miserable

What are you referring to by lakewoods? 90/10's struts? 50/50 shocks?

I actually prefer the ride stiffness on the 90/10's & 50/50s over stock, but I also have the Eibach Drag Launch kit, which makes cornering fast tricky. Especially if you have no swaybars. But you have no trouble on winding highways or anything.

But I drove my Fully drag suspensioned car everyday in rain and even some snow with no problems whatsoever. I also have Southside Upper and lower arms.

I picked up 90/10 and 50/50 lakewood shocks and struts, eibach drag launch springs also. Shouldnt be any trouble for everyday driving. My stangs an everyday driver in the summer.

If your really worried about it you can look into lakewood 70/30 struts. there meant for street/strip but I wouldnt go with them

70/30's are the biggest gimmick. 90/10's are fine for the street, no worse than 70/30's... just that the 70/30's have less transfer

When most people say drag susp there thinking uper and lower arms.
Most of the susp arms out there have polyurethane bushing and they help alot but u get more vibrations transfered into the car.

Arms that realy work well for the track have spherical bearings up front and a poly out back. The ones i have are a knock off to South Side lift arms but i have spherical bearings front and back so thats about as soild as it gets
My upper arms have polys in them on both ends.

As for driving this car is driven every day to and from work i pick up my kids go shoping u name it. 70,000k on the car last year and i have had no probs at all. Struts are KYB 3 ways and rear are lakewoods drags with Eibach springs on all 4 conners.

I sure hope you have your torque boxes done because those bars will tear them out with daily street driving

I agree with Gasman.

I had my stock upper TQ boxes welded really good and bought my lower TQ box support braces from a guy by the name of Rick Hawver. He posts on Stangnet and Corral alot. His kits are cheap, made of stainless steel, and come with everything, and fit nice. You can check em out here...

For control arms, even with the TQ boxes done, i'd get a set that has a spherical bearing in one end at the very least. My Pro 3i lowers do.
