Edlebrock 4.6 Intake
Hey has anyone seen the EDLEBROCK intake with the sullivan style throttle body flange that attaches to the carb flange. The look pretty interesting. I ordered acouple on the weekend at a trade show the price is resonable compared to others too!

here it is on page 93 in the online catalouge |
I've been following it on a few boards. It's a nice quality piece judging by pics, plus being from Edelbrock,i would expect it to be.Waiting to see some real world dyno numbers, and how it would effect a street driven stang. So far,all these intakes have been designed for the blower guys or for higher hp 4.6's,which is cool for the pure racer. The only one to date that is any use for us 2v guys that aren't strictly racers,is the Bullitt intake.Tried and true.

Well we orderd 2 one carb and one efi so we should have some numbers in the next little bit!

they lose alot of bottom end on NA but for blower you don't notice it.

How about you pay for it if it picks up .LOL

I would like to see an N/A 4.6L with minimum bolt ons to full bolt ons, then a blower 4.6L with minumum bolt ons to full bolt ons in a dyno test.
I personally am getting tired of seeing a full bolt on,4.6L with ported heads and blower cams as the dyno mule in the magazines. But that is my opinion. It would be nice to see numbers change during mods so everyone can relate to the numbers to see if it is worth it or not. |
