Fox Struts On 2002 Gt
Hey Just curious if with the lower stance(EIbach prokit) If anyone is running Fox struts since they are shorter, or if they would work? Looking at a Set of QA1 adjustables. Thanks.
Hey Rob,it'll work, but you will need shims to go between the mounting surfaces of the spindle to strut. But with the pro kit you really don't need fox struts, its when you go lower the the 1 1/2 that you need them.It allows more travel in the strut.
The shaft in the struts for the SN95 stangs are designed longer due to the stock ride height, that is one reason you would go to the fox struts when you slam the '94 to '04 mustangs,or you would constantly bottom out the stock struts, and end up damaging them.
But if you put the fox strut on a '94 to '04 mustang without a huge drop in height, there will be not enough travel for rebound.and will do the exact oppisite of what a slammed SN95 will do with stock struts with the long shafts.
