Foxbodies becoming classics

Thinking of selling my ctsv in favour of something that won't depreciate, are fox bodies keeping their value/ appreciating? I loved my last one and would love to get another.

Personally, and this is just me....... don't buy a car as an investment, or because you think it will increase in value. I think anymore, theres few cars out there that won't depreciate.

Its really only worth what someones willing to pay, if you want to play that game more power to you, but if it was me, I'd buy it because I love it and want to drive it, not spend all my time worrying what its worth.

My $.02.

That why I'm looking to get back in to one, on paper the ctsv is a way better car but I had more fun driving the mustang, but it's even better if a few years down the line I could sell it for what I paid. I'm not even sure what is a good price these days kijiji prices are all over the place.

So, you figure you can drive it for a few years, put more kilometres on it, and sell it for what you paid for it when its several years older with higher mileage and wear and tear on it ?

Am I understanding what you're saying correctly?

Kind of I'm asking if they have reached that line where they are becoming rarer and more sought after that they stop depreciating and actually go up in value. I'm asking this more for a discussion than anything, if I decide to get back in a fox I will.

No idea where they're trending, but good luck in your search.

I think they are worth more as the good ones become more rare. I had a decent 89 LX 5.0 that I sold for 1500 bucks 15ish years ago. I could maybe get 3 now if I had held on to it. That being said good luck finding a good one that the owner isn't going to ask way too much for. I've seen guys asking around 8 for the really good ones, but I don't think in the future they will ever be worth much more than that, If they're even worth it now.
It's pretty sad, even a beet up classic that needs tons of work guys ask way too much because they see another one that's done up and think the pile in there yard is worth the same without the 10g resto work.

Personally I think low mileage stock cars will continue too climb in value. There are lots of foxes out there for sale. Nice ones aren't all that easy to come by and people don't give them away.

In my opinion, people want to much for what they are really worth! These cars were used, and abused, and road harder then a hooker working a single weekend back in the day!! Lol And that's the majority of them. ...... people back then didn't think of an investment with the old fox's. They drove them, but today they want them as a gold mine.
Like AP stated, they are only worth to what someone is willing to pay!
