Gas Consumption

What's the best gas mileage you have ever gotten in your Mustang? What gears and how many hp are you running with?

I'll start:

500 km on 52 litres (28 mpg Canadian, 24 mpg US), driving at about 125 km/h. 4.10 gears, 420 hp.

90Tbird 08-28-2007 01:54 PM

this is a v6 right? lol, cause I get alot worse then that. I get about 250-300km on a tank. I get about 500 on a tank in my 3.8 Thunderbird though.

Danteviking 08-28-2007 02:33 PM

It's a V8. I get about the same as you around town, maybe 350km on a tank. Highway is a huge difference though almost 50% more efficiency.

mustang_mikey 08-28-2007 02:34 PM

Wow thats better than my winter beater. lol I got 3.73s about 350hp and get around 250km to a tank and a light foot.

Danteviking 08-28-2007 02:55 PM

Ouch - 250 a tank. That must be around town. You got a blower on your car?

4 CRUZEN 08-29-2007 10:22 AM

Stock 4.6 GT Conv.

31 Hwy. best on long Hwy trip to US.

29.5 normal Hwy.

27.5 Miles per gallon overall average.

Usually drive 18+ Klm above the hwy speed limits. I have tracked my milage on a sheet since the car was new (after about 12,000 Klms).

just did the Brockville car show a few weeks ago

about 700 kms round trip....95% highway at about 120ish kph on average

went through about 1.25 tanks of 94 octane.....so she's getting pretty good fuel mileage....considering 350rwhp on a 1.7l KB blower and 4:10 gears
