hand held tuners?
 
is it true that if u buy a hand held tuner like from sct or predator.. that u can tune ur stock ecu for more hp gains??.. herde it from a guy at a shop i visited today

Usually a tuner will come will one or more dyno tested by the manufacturer tunes that will produce more power its not enough to plant you in the seat but you will notice some.Also they recommend high octane fuel.as for tuning it yourself ive played with that but seen minimal results if any it needs to be tuned by a professional. You will gain more power, better fuel economy and better throttle response. All tunes are not equal...most of our compettors just use pre-loaded tunes but we write our own tunes on the dyno and then program YOUR device for YOUR modifications

Expect around 10rwhp on a stock 2V.....We use the SCT Xcalibrator....the devices are very similar but it is the tunes that make the difference

In alberta, take it to Matt Mitchell at the Mustang Shop, for local dyno tuning.
