ok so im trying to change my fuel filter outa the baby while shes snoozin and came across a little prob. how the fack does it come outa there. i pulled the tabs but the damn hoses wont come out. am i missing something , like a special tool to get them to release? it the original filter from factory and shes got 40000 on the clock. help please

Just keep Pulling more, I've had to use Sreawdrivers to pry the hoses off sometimes.

And if it's a real pain and you have enough just cut the hose's shorter.

almost postive you need a special/inexpensive tool to do this properly

go to Napa.....telll them which fuel filter you're removing....they'll likely stock it

another option would be to go to a ford Dealer Parts counter and ask the same question

I would refrain from yanking and prying with screw-drivers or you may end up needing a fuel line too

^What he said, depending on what style of locks are on it, but most likely you will need a tool for this, a pic of the problem area would help.
